Short Documentary Production on humble beginnings

Unleashed Productions was hired by Mashable and American Express to do this short documentary production on Serengetee‘s community work and humble beginnings.

Serengetee started in 2012 after Jeff and Ryan met on Semester at Sea, a study abroad program that circumnavigates the globe by ship. While traveling, they began exploring markets and collecting fabric from countries in Africa, Asia, and Central America.

Serengetee wanted to find a way to use these fabrics to make a positive change in the world; they wanted to become the first brand centered around fabrics.

So with zero fashion experience, they used the last pennies in our pockets and started cutting, sewing, and shipping pocket tees from our dorm room.

From day one, the mission was at the heart of everything Serengetee. By purchasing fabric from over 25 countries, they support the artisans, their families, and ancient fabric-making traditions. By giving back 10% of profits to a diverse range of grassroots causes, they work to improve lives in their communities.

The stories of these fabric makers and causes are baked into every product they make, so when you wear Serengetee you are truly wearing a piece of the world.

Not every Short Form Video Production is a Short Documentary Production

Great success stories tend to have humble beginnings. Short documentaries as this one, which highlight the story, journey, and good heart, create an emotional and human connection. Doing Good is just good business.
